As of January 2010 Spotify is still restricting access to the free product to invite only. If you want immediate access they are asking you to download Spotify Premium (at the time of writing it's 9.99 per month). However any existing user can invite his or her friends to join the service, which is fine if you know someone who already uses it. Otherwise it's a bit of of a 'Catch 22' situation - you can't get it free unless you know somone who's already got it. But the good news is you've come to the right place to get your invite now for Spotify.
If you would like one of my free invites I'll happily send you one! I'm doing this because I think Spotify is a great service and should remain free for those who can't afford the premium version.
